Is robotic automation the future? Where does our society’s
advancements in technology struggle the most?

In this monthly newsletter, we will journey thru the significance of robotic automation, study the different obstacles, and determine at what point in your career advancement will
investing in a robot be suitable. As we analyze our worldly interactions, we can argue no one want repetitive task at which are tedious and exhausting. With our technology advancements we have created robots to eliminate those task which allow leaders to put their minds to work and
find new innovative ideas.

To begins we must identify the advantages and disadvantages of robotics, to understand
what a factory is getting themselves into.

Advantages of robotics:
– No downtime, no fatigue, and boost of output with higher efficiency compared to human
labor.
– With repetitive task you can dial in your precision and quality.
– Initial labor cost of a robot is high but in relation to reduced labor, fewer mistakes, and
lower maintenance expenses for longevity the robot will be more profitable.
– Safety of human workers is boosted since the robot will take on the hazardous
movement.
– With robots following programs provided, it is much more simple to reconfigure a task to
meet your demand.
– The ability to track and analyze data collected by the robot you are more likely to have
the opportunity of scaling quicker. Instead of human workers focusing on repetitive tasks
they are able to focus on more complex and a creative aspect of their jobs.
Disadvantages of robotics
– Upfront investment cost to get a robot up and running
– Slowing your manufacturing process to train workers and integrating into existing work
flows.
– Maintenance expenses and consumables cost will be more costly.
– Complexity of switching programming to perform a new process.
– Potential of getting hacked as well as an environment impact.
– Once a robot is out of production it is an item that will become obsolete, and really challenging to recycle or dispose of robots.

Deciding when to invest in automation, whether it is a robot or software. Benefits must outweigh the cost and challenges that will take place. To begin we will point out deciding factors

So if you desire your business to grow you need to scale and produce quickly with efficiency to
help meet the increased demand without proportionally increasing labor hours. Introducing new
products and services will require automation to cover the complexity without overwhelming
existing systems.
Most importantly, customers expectations expect faster deliveries, higher quality, and if your competitors are adopting automation and gaining a competitive advantage it is necessary to automate to keep up with the industry standards remain relevant. Which brings us to the next term process bottleneck; if specific parts of your operations are consistently causing delays and slowing down the entire process, automation can help streamline these hiccups and improve your overall workflow.

Technology struggles:
Some of the biggest factors we are struggling with to fully harness the potential of technology involves ethical, moral, and private concerns. Balancing the benefits of technology and protection of individual privacy rights is a persistent challenge. Making sure AI programs are not bias is difficult hence the robots in themselves are going to want to go towards systems that
are well developed, maintained, and easy to follow. Another big gap that is still taking place is the digital division between countries that can easily access this technology versus countries
that are underserved. Digital literacy is also a complex skill which one must get trained on, since the individuals that are experts at the robotic automation are busy working to uplift the factory there are stationed at. The opportunity for training is limited, and very costly with their expertise being so valuable. One more legal standpoint, the government has a difficult time balancing and regulating between encouraging innovation and protecting public interest. For example, if The United States has set protocols in place, it is difficult to communicate globally with another country that has no idea about any regulations going on here in America. Making it an inconsistent factor in global technology, and difficult to enforce standards.
In conclusion, as we transition the structure of how our factory run in comparison to what they used to be operated. We can come to the understand there must be limitations to robot
atomization but if placed in critical parts of your process it is certainly a boost to our production line, As car assembly lines once were not the most cookie cutter layout, but with dedicated
individuals to fine tune them within the next 10 years our robots will position us to escalate our nation.
